GET TO KNOW
Our Story
Founded in 2013, Okra is a jewelry brand rooted in nature and shaped by the life and experiences of Mauritian-born artist and mother of two, Julie Pang.
Each piece is handcrafted using the ancient technique of lost wax casting, bringing together precious metals, gemstones, and organic forms inspired by the natural world.
At the heart of Julie’s practice is a love of storytelling and a desire to transform lived experiences, memories, and moments of connection into jewelry that can be worn, kept, and passed on.
Alongside her collections, Julie creates one-of-a-kind and bespoke pieces shaped by her signature organic language and the meditative process of sculpting directly into wax.
More than adornment, Okra pieces are created as personal talismans and an invitation to turn inward.
