Shipping

Preparation & Packaging

OKRA is an independent jewelry studio based in Shanghai, China. Each piece is carefully prepared, packaged and shipped from our studio. For pieces that are ready to ship, please allow up to 5 business days for us to prepare your order before dispatch. Made-to-order, gold, gemstone and bespoke pieces require additional production time.

The estimated making time will be stated on the individual product page or communicated to you when your order is confirmed.

If you need to change any details of your order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order at hello@okrajewelry.com. Once production has begun on a made-to-order or personalized piece, we may no longer be able to make changes or cancel the order.

Domestic Shipping

Orders within Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan are shipped via SF Express. Estimated transit time is approximately 2–5 business days after dispatch.

International Shipping

We ship internationally to selected countries. International orders are usually shipped via DHL, FedEx or another trusted international courier. Estimated transit time is approximately 5–15 business days after dispatch, depending on the destination and customs processing. Please provide a complete residential or business address. We are unable to ship to P.O. boxes. You will receive tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs charges or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the price of your jewelry or shipping unless otherwise stated and are the responsibility of the recipient. Customs procedures may occasionally cause delays that are outside of our control.

Lost or Damaged Parcels

Every order is carefully packaged before leaving our studio. If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the packaging and jewelry and contact us at hello@okrajewelry.com as soon as possible so that we can assist you and, where appropriate, open a claim with the courier. If your tracking information shows that a parcel has been delivered but you cannot locate it, please contact the courier and our studio as soon as possible so that we can help investigate.

Refunds and Exchanges

Ready-to-Ship Jewelry

We want you to feel a connection to the piece you choose.

Eligible ready-to-ship pieces may be returned within 14 days of receipt, provided they are unworn, unused and returned in their original condition and packaging.

Please contact us at hello@okrajewelry.com before returning any jewelry, including your name and order number.

Once the piece has been received and inspected by our studio, we will confirm whether the return has been accepted.

Original shipping charges, return shipping costs, customs duties and taxes are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or incorrectly supplied by us.

Gold, Diamond & Gemstone Pieces

Many of our gold, diamond and gemstone pieces are individually made or finished especially for you.

For this reason, made-to-order gold jewelry, diamond and gemstone pieces, customized sizes, personalized pieces and pieces altered at the customer's request are considered final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.

Please review all measurements, stone details, metal choices and ring sizes carefully before placing your order.

If you have any questions before purchasing, we are always happy to help.

Bespoke & Personalized Jewelry

All bespoke, custom-made, fingerprint, engraved or otherwise personalized jewelry is final sale and non-refundable once production has begun.

Because these pieces are created specifically for you, they cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a confirmed manufacturing fault.

Ring Sizing

Please take care when choosing your ring size, particularly for made-to-order and bespoke rings.

We strongly recommend having your finger professionally measured before ordering whenever possible.

If a ring needs to be resized after completion, please contact us. Whether resizing is possible will depend on the design, metal, stone setting and amount of adjustment required.

Where resizing is possible, additional labor, material and shipping costs may apply.

Some designs, including certain stone-set or highly sculptural rings, may not be suitable for resizing.

Natural Gemstones

Natural gemstones are formed by the earth and each one is unique.

Variations in color, inclusions, markings and texture are natural characteristics rather than defects. These subtle differences are part of what makes each stone individual.

We carefully select every gemstone used in our work, but the stone you receive may show natural variations from photographs shown online unless the listing specifies that you are purchasing the exact stone pictured.

Faults or Incorrect Orders

Every piece is carefully inspected before leaving our studio.

If you believe your jewelry has arrived with a manufacturing fault or you have received the wrong item, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at hello@okrajewelry.com, including clear photographs and your order number.

Once assessed, we will determine the appropriate repair, replacement or other resolution.

Manufacturing faults do not include accidental damage, normal wear, scratches, dents, broken stones caused by impact, improper care or damage caused by third-party repairs or alterations.

Accidental Damage & Repairs

Fine jewelry is made to be worn and loved, but precious metals and gemstones can still be damaged through impact, pressure or everyday wear.

Damage caused after receiving the piece is not considered a manufacturing fault.

If your jewelry is damaged, please contact us. Whenever possible, we will assess the piece and offer a repair service. Repair, replacement stone, material and shipping costs may apply.

Please do not have your jewelry repaired, resized or altered by another jeweler before contacting us, as this may affect our ability to assess the original craftsmanship of the piece.

Sale Items

Sale and archive pieces are final sale unless otherwise stated or where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

International Returns

Because of customs procedures, duties and the complexity of returning high-value jewelry internationally, made-to-order, gold, gemstone, diamond, bespoke and personalized international orders are final sale.

For eligible ready-to-ship international returns, please contact us before sending anything back so that we can provide instructions.

Any rights available to you under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

Jewelry Care

Your jewelry is made to accompany you for many years. A little care will help preserve it.

Gold & Precious Metals

Solid gold is durable, but it is not indestructible. Over time, small scratches and marks will naturally develop through wear and become part of the character of the piece.

We recommend removing your jewelry before:

  • exercising or heavy physical activity

  • swimming

  • bathing or showering

  • cleaning with household chemicals

  • gardening or manual work

  • sleeping, particularly when wearing delicate or stone-set pieces

Avoid exposing jewelry unnecessarily to perfume, hairspray, lotions, chlorine and strong chemicals.

Store pieces separately in a soft pouch or jewelry box to prevent scratching.

Diamonds & Gemstones

Diamonds are extremely hard, but they can still chip or become damaged if struck at certain angles. Other gemstones can be considerably softer and require additional care.

Avoid dropping your jewelry or knocking stones against hard surfaces.

We recommend checking stone settings periodically, particularly on rings that are worn every day. If a stone begins to feel loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us before it is lost.

Some gemstones are sensitive to heat, chemicals, ultrasonic cleaning or sudden temperature changes. If you are unsure how to care for your particular stone, please contact us before cleaning it.

Cleaning

For most solid-gold jewelry, gently clean the piece with warm water, a small amount of mild soap and a very soft brush. Rinse carefully and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

For gemstone jewelry, cleaning requirements vary according to the stone. When in doubt, use only a soft damp cloth or contact us for advice.

We recommend professional inspection and cleaning periodically for fine jewelry and pieces worn every day.

Silver

Sterling silver naturally develops a patina over time. This is a normal characteristic of the metal.

Store silver jewelry somewhere dry when not being worn and gently polish it with a suitable jewelry polishing cloth when needed.

If you have any questions about your jewelry, its materials, sizing or care, please contact us at hello@okrajewelry.com.

We are always happy to help you care for your piece for the years ahead.
